Problem: Cannot clear history from Firefix Started with Menu and clear recent history. Looked everyplace there was information about history. Tried removing individual entries. Ran Malwarebytes. Dell XPS 8960 with Windows 11 less than one year old. No response with any steps I take. Also, there are no error messages. I am unable to clear history no matter which tools I use. No error messages. All the suggestions I tried had no effect. Used Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox.

Oddly, I tried my older Dell Inspiron 3650, with Windows 10, and clear history works like it should. 

Used Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox. So far, all the advice goes down the same path; history, clean recent history, manage history, etc.. Tried refreshing and today I deleted Firefox app and reloaded. No improvement. My Thunderbird shows both in english and swedish,it started after an update yesterday. My E-mailadresses are an mishmash of english and swedish,so whats to do? With regards Jan-Erik.

with some changes with a default search for passkeys, I am no longer able to use thunderbird mail as is, as after spending three hours today, I was unable to add a 2nd account that has been accessed via gmail for a long time. I am wondering what other email problems other than thunderbird might have similar features,. as thunderbird has been rendered unusable by new code/passord, passkey requirements. I was looking at spark, but their interface is not as helpful. Thoughts! RIP Thunderbird mail, a long time friends, but time to move on, alas

Downloaded the Thunderbird U.S. holidays to my calendar. My calendar is overloaded with miscellaneous and unwanted holidays. I've tried methods on the internet to delete them from my calendar with no success. I'm sure there is a method, but no success in finding it. Please help! Do I need to unistall Thunderbird and start over?

I use the same laptop at two locations. I have different printers at each (both HP, one a laser the other an inkjet).

Most of my time is at location 1. Typically I can print without a problem. Recently in Firefox ONLY I have been unable to print at location 2.

Scenario:

1. I print to the laser printer at location 1. No problem.
2. I go to location 2 and choose to print - the print dialog appears with a "spinner" and it does not go away.

I have to cancel using Esc. I am unable to print at all from Firefox. Typically if I close Firefox after that, it looks closes but is still shown as running in Task Manager.

Other programs such as Word and other browsers bring up a dialog box showing that "the printer cannot be contacted" and allows cancellation. At this point I can choose the local inkjet printer and all is well.

for awhile now I am getting this message. I have multiple browser windows open with multiple tabs each. Even if I delete all but one browser window I still get this message.

What can I do to rid myself of this message?

google is saying cookies are disabled when using FF to login. This was working Privacy is set to STANDARD and I went into settings and removed google.com as well to no avail.

How do I fix this?

Hi, is there a way to setup access shared e-mail accounts (they appear as unlicensed accounts in office 365 business accounts)? In office365 business accounts, it is possible to setup general mailboxes like sales@ etc. and grant access of said mailbox to user account of choice. OAuth2 login for these accounts does not exist, instead, login occurs via user accounts and then the shared accounts appear for such user, it is not possible to login with or setup shared mailboxes with a password as it is normal (licensed) user accounts. According to Chat-GPT5 it is difficult or impossible, it says login name would be something like licensedusername@company.com\sharedmailbox@company.com, so for example, eric.smith@contoso.com\sales@contoso.com But that doesn't seem to work, like a silly suggestion, outlook.office365.com server then asks for credentials of said eric.smith@contoso.com\sales@contoso.com as if it were a single username! so if you have any info if that is possible, any work-around, pls let me now! When I try to download messages from Proton’s inbox, I get this message: “Thunderbird. The current operation on ‘Inbox’ did not succeed. The mail server for account loiscodling@proton.me responded: no such mailbox.. .”

If I access the account directly through Firefox, the inbox is visible with a large number of files in it. Mail in all the other folders on Proton has downloaded correctly to Thunderbird, but not the inbox.

My wife’s Thunderbird has had problems for several weeks. To repair them, I have disconnected from our e-mail provider (Proton.me), & reconnected to it. Everything seems to be fine but her Thunderbird Inbox. There are no emails in it, but it insists there are two (2). I have tried to compact the folder & to repair the folder, but these actions have no effect. How do I get her inbox clear of this problem, so I can focus on her bigger problem?

I have been using both the new version of thunderbird and an older version that I prefer the looks. The older version I have set to disable updates and it still shows updates disabled by administrator. BUT, for some reason, this version has updated to the newest version. Any idea of how this happened?

Hi all! I use Thunderbird with my company Outlook, and recently I've been having an issue of some emails being deleted, but not moving to the trash. I can still delete other emails, but these eight or nine specifically still show in my inbox. When I try to click on them, the subject and sender in the viewer shows whatever email I was looking at previously, but the message itself is blank. I've tried every way of deleting them, but nothing seems to be working. They don't seem to have anything in common, like having a certain attachment or being from a certain sender. Any help?

I cant even see Chewy's page. Just stays white. They told me they no longer allow Firefox to access their website. They told me to use Chrome or Edge. Obv they want more personal data.

I have Proton VPN (i tried different servers and even disconnected). I run several blocking extensions incl User Agent Switcher. I tried a Chrome or IE string. Still cant even see the website.

I really dont want to give them more data. I've had no problems for years. Anyone else? Thanks.

Hello, I received an email from Spectrum (.TWC) that I needed to change my password by Nov. 11th. I did change it last evening. Now today I cannot receive my email via Mozilla Thunderbird, I receive the pop up to Enter the Password when I open it. Can you help me with this. Thank you for your time and efforts.
